The American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL) program focuses on international educational exchanges for young political leaders worldwide. The program provides in-depth exploration of the governance, politics, policy making, bilateral relations, culture, and geographic diversity of the host country. Participants are provided opportunities to strengthen their personal leadership skills and enhance their understanding of international relations. This program is designed to promote mutual understanding, respect, and friendship with the goal of cultivating long-lasting relationships among young people who are poised to become tomorrow's global leaders and policy makers.

Eligibility and Application Overview

Participants should be:

Between the ages of 25 and 40
Mid-level professionals with leadership potential in government, the private sector, or civil society with experience and current employment related to the legislative process and governance.
Additional eligibility requirements for this program may vary by country. Individuals who are interested should contact ACYPL directly for more information.

Participants are selected by international program partners with input from the Public Affairs Office of their local U.S. Embassy. Prospective participants should contact the local ACYPL office in their country for information about upcoming programs.
