Valero Energy Corp. announced Monday that it will convert its shuttered oil refinery on the southern Caribbean island of Aruba into a fuel storage facility, leaving hundreds of employees jockeying for positions at the downsizing operation.

Chevron sells off regional retail business in the Eastern Caribbean

US oil giant, Chevron Corp, yesterday announced that it had completed the sale of its fuels marketing and aviation businesses in the Eastern Caribbean. The transaction comprises nine countries in the region: Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Grenada, Dominica, St Lucia, St Vincent & the Grenadines, Guyana, St. Kitts and Trinidad & Tobago.
